We are a non-profit organization that facilitates the electronic transfer of clinical information between disparate health information systems.
The ULP is the primary platform utilized by CRISP participants, providing access to all HIE services:
CRISP Reporting Services (CRS) provides secure access to Maryland health care data and related analytics tools to assist health care organizations in improving patient care throughout the State.
CRS uses multiple data sources to offer a unique perspective on readmission rates, potentially avoidable utilization, and other critical measures. CRS products are approved by the Reporting and Analytics Committee, a subcommittee of the CRISP Board, and adhere to best practices in privacy and security.
With the HIE InContext platform, an EMR user can access patient information within their established workflows without ever needing to navigate directly to the ULP. This embedded application delivers relevant information consisting of lab results, prescription medications, and more.
CRISP is the designated Health Information Exchange (HIE) in Maryland and the District of Columbia. An HIE is a way of instantly sharing health information among doctors’ offices, hospitals, labs, radiology centers, and other healthcare organizations.
The CRISP HIE network ensures you will receive the best and most efficient care possible by providing healthcare professionals with key information which will help them make quicker decisions and provide better treatments, resulting in more positive outcomes.
